After lying low for several months, BJP Vice President and senior spokesman, Prof Hari Om on Sunday staged a grand come back here at the party headquarters.
Prof Hari Om had earlier shown reluctance to continue in office as he felt disgraced by party inner circles.
Following these developments Prof Hari Om had even stopped visiting party headquarters and was not participating in the regular meetings and party functions organized at the party headquarters.
He was not issuing regular statements to the media toeing BJP line on issues of national importance and was maintaining stoic silence. BJP sources revealed that Prof Hari Om was not happy with the interference in his work by few junior party spokesmen appointed by the state BJP chief after he took over the charge.
Prof Hari Om had demanded free hand from the state party president Ashok Khajuria but failed to convince him. After remaining silent for some time Prof Om stopped meeting party leaders and gradually stopped visiting party headquarters. Sources revealed that party high command was not happy with the internal rift in the state party unit and prevailed upon Prof Om to once again take charge of the media management and discharge his duties as party spokesman with independent mind. |
