| Fast track recruitment policy on anvil: Qazi | | Asks youth to be self dependent catalyze developmental process | | Early Times Reporter Srinagar | Mar 23 Minister for Forest and Environment Qazi Mohammed Afzal said that government has initiated fast track recruitment of youth in the state, adding that more than 50,000 jobs have been identified and would be filled purely on merit under a speedy recruitment mechanism. Addressing a gathering of youth from Ganderbal District at Town hall today, the Minister said that transparency and impartiality would be maintained during the recruitment process so that deserving and genuine aspirants get their due. Besides, government jobs, efforts are on to make self employment schemes vibrant and viable for the educated unemployed youth to venture into small and medium entrepreneurs in the state to become economically self dependent and self reliant, he added. The minister said that coalition government has taken several steps for the welfare and development of the people of the state since 2002 adding that government is committed to upgrade the basic amenities and thrust is being laid to further improve health care facilities, education, road connectivity , power , drinking water and civic amenities particularly hitherto uncovered and un attended areas. He appealed to youth to involve themselves in the development process and monitor the execution of works closely in their respective areas so that the purpose of timely completion and covering real beneficiaries was served. This he said would also ensure speedy developmental process in the state. Qazi Afzal said that mass developmental schemes launched in the state would reshape to overall profile of the state making Jammu and Kashmir prosperous one. He said that unprecedented progress at all fronts has been witnessed due to pro people policies of the coalition government since 2002. On the occasion, some National Conference workers announced their joining in PDP saying that the policies and programs were according to the wishes of the people which pursued them to join its cadres. |
