Two bank robbers held with stolen property

Jammu, Nov 12: Gandhi Nagar police today claimed to have arrested two robbers and recovered stolen property from their possession.
Police spokesman said that on 24th of Oct of 2018 a complaint was lodged by TK Sharma, Manager PNB Shastri Nagar that during intervening night of 23 and 24th of Oct of 18 some unknown persons broke inside the bank and when they were unable to break the cash lockers, they decamped with computer accessories of the bank.
Police spokesman said that on this information a case under FIR No. 234/2018 under sections 457 and 380 of RPC was registered and investigation started. "In order to work out the case, a team of Gandhi Nagar police station was constituted which rounded up two suspects and put them to sustain questioning during which accused namely Daniel Masih and Vishal Fernandes both residents of Amritsar Punjab and presently staying at Valmiki Colony Jammu confessed their involvement in the instant case as well in case under FIR No. 245/2018 under sections 457 and 380 of RPC of Gandhi Nagar poluce station in which they had stolen mobile phones and accessories from M/S New Ways Mobile Shop, Pawan Chowk Gandhi Nagar", said spokesman.
Spokesman further saifd that on their disclosure stolen property i.e. mobile phones, monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers worth lacs of rupees was recovered.
It is pertinent to mention here that the said accused persons had attempted to break two ATMs at Gandhi Nagar and Nanak Nagar respectively. The arrest and recovery has been made by Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia-SHO Gandhi Nagar assisted by SI Rohit Bhagat and SI Sandeep Chauhan of Gandhi Nagar police station under the supervision of SDPO City South-Dr. Sunniya Ashkoor Wani, SP City South-Vinay Kumar and SSP Jammu-Vivek Gupta.
