JAMMU, Nov 14: After disposing of the representations of the aspirants, the J&K Services Selection Board today issued the schedule for conduct of interview and counselling-cum-document verification of the shortlisted candidates for Naib Tehsildar posts.
According to a statement issued by Malik Suhail, PRO JKSSB, the interview and document verification shall begin from 3 December 2018 for the candidates belonging to Kashmir province and from 26 December 2018 for candidates belonging to Jammu division.
He said keeping in view the request of the candidates to know their scores, the Board in its 144thmeeting decided to make available scores of all the non-shortlisted candidates on the official website of the Board and accordingly, a link showing the scores of all the non-shortlisted candidates, who appeared in the said examination shall be available on the Board website www.jkssb.nic.in from 5 pm tomorrow. "However, the scores of shortlisted candidates cannot be revealed at this stage, keeping in view the fact that they are yet to be assessed in interviews having a weightage of 20% and have to qualify the test of working knowledge of Urdu also," he said.
Malik said the provisional shortlist of candidates for the post of Naib Tehsildar advertised vide Advertisement Notice No: 01 of 2015 (Item No: 007), was notified by JKSSB recently and in the said notification, the details of candidates figuring in the shortlist alongwith details of cut off score in respect of each category were made available on the official website of the J&K Services Selection Board, www.jkssb.nic.in. He said the candidates were asked to approach the Board for any sort of query/clarification.
"The Board received 140 unique representations during the stipulated time period, which have now been disposed of and consequent to disposal of these representations the Board has notified schedule for conduct of interview and counselling-cum-document verification," he said.
Meanwhile, Malik said, upon completion of the process of Counselling-cum-Document Verification for the posts of Teachers of various districts in various disciplines on 17 October 2018, the Board has constituted two Committees comprising two members each for finalization of 42 such selection lists of the General Line, Urdu, Science/Maths Teachers in the 14 districts of the State and one such Committee has also been constituted to finalize selections of Patwaris in 18 districts of the State, in respect of which posts were received by the J&K Services Selection Board.
He said upon completion of these selections, the Board is planning to conduct pending written examinations and shall begin with graduate level exams for different advertised posts of various departments. "As selections of Teachers involve bulk posts, the Board hopes that the candidates selected in the process shall not feel the need to appear in new examinations to be scheduled by the Board, which shall help non-selected participants of earlier exams and freshers to compete for selections in these examinations," he said and added that the Controller of Examinations JKSSB, appointed recently by the Government, on the request of the Board has been asked to workout data details, necessary arrangements in consonance with actual requirements and feasible tentative schedule for conducting these examinations.
