| Despite proof Tehsildar Sunderbani takes no action against lambardar | | | Early Times Report
Sunderbani, Nov 14: As panchayat elections are approaching nearer, the incidents of violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) are also being reported from many parts of the state, and in this connection lamberdar Nahoti of tehsil Sunderbani of district Rajouri was found violating rules by campaigning in support of some panchs and sarpanchs. The concerned citizens have expressed surprise of the reluctance of the tehsildar to take action against the erring lambardar.
Early Times had already exposed about the violation by Lamberdar Nahoti in one of its previous editions. Consequently, the proof of his involvement in campaigning was submitted to the Tehsildar. It has been learnt that Tehsildar had called upon the four Lamberdars to his office and after some discussion left them but the erring Lamberdar was not taken to task for his fault.
The reluctance shown by tehsildar has raised many questions on the sincerity of the government official, who didn't take action against the erring Lamberdar despite handing over the proof in the shape of audio recording which clearly violates Model Code of Conduct. People of the Nahoti urged the Governor SK Malik for strict action against the Lamberdar as well Tehsildar who failed to discharge his duty. |
