| 2 killed, 7 injured in road mishaps | | | Early Times Reporter

Two persons including a minor boy were killed in separate road mishaps at different places in Jammu division since last night. In an accident one passenger was killed and seven others suffered injuries when a Tempo Traveller bearing registration No. JK-14/8845 in which they were traveling collided with one Truck bearing registration No. 7115/JK02J at Kandoli Mata Mandir at Nagrota. Reports revealed that, initially eight passengers suffered injuries in this road mishap. After receiving the information the Nagrota Police swung into action and evacuated the injured and rushed them to GMC Jammu for specialized treatment. Out of the injured one of them identified as Gh. Mohd. Lone (45 years) s/o Late. Gh. Rasool Lone r/o Bandipura was declared as brought dead in GMC Jammu. In another road mishap one minor child was knocked to death when a speedy truck bearing registration No. 6521/JK02C hit him at Samroli. The identification of the deceased boy has been identified as Janoo (10 yrs) S/o Shadi Lal r/o Prem Nagar Doda. After committing the crime the driver and cleaner of the truck fled away from the spot. Police swung into action and a massive haunt have been launched to nab them immediately. |
