| No paper was leaked, claims BOSE | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 25 After an awful exasperation of students and chaos among the parents an inquiry conducted by the State Board of School Education has confirmed the no examination paper was leaked. Even as the Board of School Education had to cancel the Life Science and Home Science examinations following the reports of leakage, but the authorities after a thorough inquiry have confirmed that all these reports were baseless. Secretary of the State Board of School Education, Prof Veena Rajput while confirming this said that the reports of paper leak have been found to be untrue and false by the three member inquiry committee headed by Prof V K Gupta, Joint Secretary (Secrecy) and comprising of Joint Secretaries S S Slathia and V K Kandari.The committee was constituted by the chairman of the BOSE Nissar Ahmad Ganai to find out the truth.BOSE authorities taking swift action had cancelled examination on the basis of police report that youth in the Jammu city were caught with question papers. Commenting on the similarities between the original paper and the other one found in the possession of youth caught by local police in old city area hours ahead of the board examination, BOSE secretary said out of 28 questions there were only two- three questions which were similar. It was a hoax call and vested interests had misled the police and the BOSE authorities, she added saying that it was an attempt to confuse children ahead of their crucial examination. Defending board authorities she said it should not be treated as a leak as large number of model test papers is available in the market. Official sources in the BOSE also revealed that similar reports of paper leak were circulated by few miscreants on Monday but on inquiry they were also found to be untrue. |
