Let us stand together to protect our community for progeny: KPC
11/17/2018 9:54:54 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 17: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) in a meeting today at New Delhi stated all though KP community was considered the community of intellectuals, a race of Sanskriti, a sect of harmony, tolerance, faithfulness, love for their language and culture, but the same community has gone in to catastrophe and wilderness, humming up with false prestige, hankering after money and wealth, distressed and disappointed. The reason is that the community has forgotten the past, misusing its present, dishonouring its heritage, forgetting it's language, silent and inactive to attain it's critical mass ratio and so on. If we really wish and want to give rebirth to the community of Kashmiri Pandits, it is the need of the hour to maintain our linguistic heritage by preserving our Kashmiri language to save our gene pool by avoiding inter-caste marriages and to attain a viable critical mass ratio by working out a model family planning program me for the community on the whole and by avoiding menace of divorces.
While elaborating it further, president KPC Kundan Kashmiri said that we see Kashmiri language is losing its savvy very fast on the second generation of Kashmiri boys and girls and they hardly take pride communicating in Kashmiri language with their community fellows and very sadly they have adopted and imbibed a non- Kashmir culture and language. They have failed to understand that language has a profound and permanent social significance. It is soul for the community survival and at the same time store house for indigenous culture and heritage.
In order to protect and preserve our community the need of the hour is for the elders and others who matters in the community to take responsibility in introducing and inculcating Kashmiri culture in their family as well as within the community to make young generation feel proud of being Kashmiri Pandit Kundan Kashmiri appealed the whole KP biradari to come together and stand to protect community for the progeny.
