Athletics competition under Khelo India organized

Hiranagar, Nov 17: Competitions of athletics for all age group girls were organized by district administration Kathua under KHELO India tournament of block Hiranagar.
A total of 71 athletes of block Hiranagar participated in today's competitions. In under 17 girls category, Rosha of Higher Secondary School Marheen, Surekha of Higher Secondary School Chakra, Rita Devi of High School chadwal , Salima of Higher Secondary School marheen, Sukriti Sharma of Sai International School Hiranagar, Nandani Verma of Government Girls High School Marheen, Saleema Akhtar of High School Parngoli, Anjali Sharma and Nilakshi Sharma of High School Said emerged winners of 100, 200, 400, 600, 1500 m race and high jump, long jump, shot put throw and discus throw respectively. In under 19 years girls category, Manti Bandral of Higher Secondary School Mangloor, Begum of Higher Secondary School Kootah, Kanchan of Higher Secondary School Hiranagar, Vishali of Higher Secondary School Mangloor, Sonica of Higher Secondary School Mangloor, Mitali of Higher Secondary School kootah, Priya of Higher Secondary School Mangloor, Harsha of Higher Secondary School Hiranagar stood first in 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1500 M races and high jump, long jump, shot put throw and discuss throw respectively. In senior category of women, 5 athletes Monika Priya Anu Chaudhary Sonia and Radha Devi of block Hiranagar participated in their respective events.
The competitions are being organised under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Kathua Rohit Khajuria, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Kathua Sunil Kumar. Zonal Physical Education Officer Hiranagar Yog Raj Sharma is Assistant Organising Secretary of the tournament.
