| Free eye camp organized | | | Early Times Reporter

About 280 patients were examined free at a eye camp organized in the district hospital from March 25 to 27. On this occasion 35 cataract surgeries were also performed by the eye surgeons. The patient were provided free medicines, intraocular lenses and food five days in the hospital campus. The camp was organized in collaboration with Bharat Box factory Ltd. Samba, was inaugurated by the Dy. commissioner Saurab Bhagat. Meanwhile for the first time in distt. Hospital a major orthopedic surgery was performed.
Mulkh Raj aged 40 years who sustained fracture of humerus bone 1½ month back, and had a united fracture and was in need of a major surgery. Bone and joint team of distt. Hospital headed by Dr. Som Kumar Chadgal and assisted by Dr. D.K Manyal and Dr. Vinod Khajuria performed the surgery (open reduction and internal fixation) with LCDCP wit bone grafting under general anesthesia given by Dr. Liaquat Ali. The team was assisted by theatre staff. Chaman Lal, Bhat Ali, Shiveta, Santosh, Subash, Vishal and Des Raj. |
