| PNB launches formers club | | | Early Times Reporter

Punjab National Bank J&K Zone and Nabard J&K region jointly launched Sri Ram Farmers Club (Hiranagar) in Kathua district today.
The function was attended by 200 farmers of adjoining villages. Addressing the gathering district coordinator of PNB informed that the bank had formed 31 farmers club in the state during last two years and most of them have been sponsored by Nabard. He also outlined objective and utility of these clubs to rural masses. It was also informed by district coordinator PNB that the main purpose of these clubs is simply to make hassle free availability of credit rural population. L.R Dogra DDM Nabard also addressed the gathering and informed the Nabard assisted loan schemes for farmers like venture capital for dairy and poultry or rural god owns schemes. He also advised farmers to go in for cash crops and commercial floriculture in the area in view of good market. |
