Arrangements for Guru Manayo Granth Jagriti Yatra finalized: Charak

The arrangements for smooth conduct of "Guru Manayo Granth Jagriti Yatra", which will enter the state on 4th of April 2008, was finalized at a high level meeting chaired by Minister for Higher Education Gulchain Singh Charak here this afternoon.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Chairman Legislative Council Arvinder Singh Micky, Minister of State for PHE, S. Manjit Singh, MLC T. S. Wazir, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sudhanshu Panday, Inspector General of Police, Jammu, K. Rajindra, IGP (Traffic) Mohammad Amin Shah, Director Colleges, N. D. Wani, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Hirdesh Kumar Singh, SSP Jammu, SSP Traffic, and senior officers of PHE, PDD and Municipality.
The meeting discussed all the issues regarding smooth conduct of the yatra from 4th to 7th April and finalized the route for the yatra. The meeting also directed IGP traffic to demark parking area for the vehicles of yatris so that the yatris could not face any inconvenience during the yatra. It was also decided that the volunteers of Gurudawaras would also be available with traffic police at parking places, entering points and wherever necessary so that the yatris could not face any problem.
The meeting directed PHE and PDD authorities for un-interrupted power and drinking water supply during these days. The PHE authorities were also asked for tanker supply and other arrangements at MAM College.
The Municipal Authorities were also directed to provide mobile toilets at MAM College and foolproof sanitation around all the Gurudawaras en route yatra and MAM College.

Jugal lays foundation stone of Hasplote-Mangota link road
Jammu Mar 27– Minister for Roads and Buildings Jugal Kishore Sharma on the concluding day of his two day tour of Rajouri district laid foundation stone of a link road Hasplote-Mangota near Thannamandi in Darhal Block today. The 11- km long road would be completed at a cost of Rs. 3.93 crore benefiting 2126 souls of Mangota village.
Addressing a public meeting at Hasplote, Sharma said that J&K is marching towards peace, progress and prosperity under the able leadership of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and added that all round development took place in every sector under his leadership. He made it clear that progress and peace are co-relative with each other and appealed the people to strengthen the hands of Chief Minister.
The Minister was accompanied by the District Development Commissioner, Rajouri and other senior district officers during his tour. En route, the people projected their demands.
