The Business School and Department of Mathematics won their respective matches to consolidate their position in the Inter-Departmental Cricket Tournament of University of Jammu, here today.
In the first match, Business School trounced Department of Urdu by nine wickets. Batting first after winning the toss, Urdu Department set a target of 114 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, Business School attained the goal making 117 runs in 13 overs with nine wickets intact.
In the second match of the day, Department of Mathematics outplayed Department of Zoology by eight runs. Earlier, batting first, Mathematics Department made 161 runs for the loss three wickets in the allotted 20 overs, which, in reply, Zoology could not chase and exhausted their quota of 20 overs for 154 runs for eight. |
