MLA Haveli Poonch Jahangir Mir visited the office of Chief Education Officer (CEO), Poonch and interacted on several issues which included adjustment of newly selected teachers and other related issues for all round development of education in the district. He has expressed his satisfaction over the recent adjustment of the teachers.
Mir said that Chief Education Officer has provided teachers to far off schools, which otherwise were suffering from dearth of teachers. He has provided subject teachers to needy schools, as many schools were short of Science, Mathematics, Urdu and Computer teachers, which were provided to these under staffed schools. Female teachers were posted in roadside schools so that they work comfortably.
The MLA observed that Dutta is doing well in implementing various education programmes such as SSA, Mid Day Meals, Total Literacy Campaign, provision of infrastructure to the schools and construction of school buildings etc. The educational activities have fully been streamlined during his tenure and people from all walks of life praise his whole-hearted efforts for improvement of educational programmes, Mir said.
Mir further demanded that there are more vacancies of teachers and +2 lecturers in district Poonch which should immediately be filled up by the concerned authorities so that the schools may not suffer for want of teaching staff. He also demanded construction and repair of school buildings which were damaged due to heavy snow fall and earthquake of October 8, 2005. |
