| Court grants 5 days remand of Asst Supt District Jail Jammu | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 29 Vigilance Organization today presented Muneer Hussain Assistant Superintendent, District Jail Jammu in custody before the Court of Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu with the application of police remand. Special Judge Anticorruption Jammu Mr. Kartar Singh, after going through the CD File observed that the accused was arrested on 27th of this month and the investigation was still incomplete and there is a reasonable ground for remanding the accused to custody of VOJ. The application for remand moved by IO Inspector Manjeet Singh is allowed and the accused admitted to the custody of Vigilance organization for a period of five days with the direction to get the accused medically examined after every 24 hours. In the meanwhile, the counsel for the accused BL Chatta today filed bail application for release of the accused. It is worthwhile to mention here that Assistant Superintendent Muneer Hussain (SI) District Jail Jammu was caught red-handed by the VOJ on a complaint filed by one Beant Singh that accused demanded Rs 5000 for arranging meeting with his son Rajinder Singh who was in the jail. VOJ arranged a trap and caught red-handed accused while accepting bribe money. JNF |
