| JKSSC decries Govt for its failure to eradicate corruption | | ‘Asks people to keep away self-centered people in elections’ | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 29 Decrying the present dispensation of Jammu and Kashmir for its failure in eradicating corruption from the system, despite its frequent sloganeering, Jammu and Kashmir State Samaj Sudhar Committee has urged upon the masses to keep away the self-centered politicians in ensuing elections for State Legislative Assembly. Addressing media persons here on Saturday, senior leader JKSSC, Gulzar Ahmed Pardesi said that the present government did virtually nothing in eradicating the menace from the society and in fact the corrupt practices during last five and a half year has increased manifold. "They did nothing except vociferous slogans as a result of which the corruption practices have increased and it is the people of Jammu and Kashmir State who are suffering from this menace," he added. Pardesi further said that government backed out from the promise of providing service to one of the family members of Uri area in NHPC whose lands have gone under the project. Present on the occasion were Mohd Yousuf Khan, Ramesh Verma, Mohan Choudhary, Narinder Paul Chowdhary and Shamim Khan. |
