Demanding its participation in Jammu Festival commencing from April 1, Talent Club has accused the Tourism Department of demonstrating favoritism while allotting the proposal for the festival.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, President Talent Club, Pawan Sharma said that the department of Tourism assigned job for entire festival to only one organization while there are many more professional organizations who could fit the occasion.
"Proposal worth Rs 1.5 crore was allotted to only one group while there are more than 20 registered groups in Jammu, who are equally proficient in the trade," he added.
Accusing Tourism Department of favoritism, Pawan Sharma said that the groups who submitted their proposals after the prescribed time were entertained while those who did everything right were rejected.
