Four day Gaytri Yagya to commence on April 2
20,000 ‘Deepaks to be lit up during the Yagya

For the first time in Jammu city, Gaytri Parivar Jammu will organize a four-day long 108-Kundiya Gayatri Maha Yagya (KGMY) here at parade ground commencing from April 2.
Special representative of Shanti Kung, Hardiwar, Som Dev Pattaiya stated this on Sunday while addressing a press conference here.
Since it would be first ever Gaytri Yagya in the city of temples and second in the region, he said that the main objective of performing the Yagya will be to pray for the betterment of entire mankind and dawn of right intellect in every individual, dawn of divinity in mankind, dawn of heaven like conditions on earth, peace through out the world and the essence of Gaytri mantra–"Diyo Yonah Prachodayat".
Som Dev Pattaiya also stated that the Yagya would begin on April 2 after Kalash Yatra would be taken out in the city and will be followed by all Sanaskars to be performed on April 3. On April 4 between 5pm –7pm about 20,000 Deepaks will be lit up and Puranahuati would take place on April 5.
For this 108-KGMY, Yagyacharyas from Gaytri Teerath Shanti Kung Hardiwar shall reach here on April1 along with a great saint Pt. Shri Ram Sharma Acharya, he said.
"There is no fee for participation in this Yagya and all Sanaskars Viz. Punsawan, Ann Prashan, Vidyaarambh, Yagyo Pavit, Mundan etc. will be performed free in this Yagya", he added.
Gaytri Parivar Jammu has requested everyone to participate in this great spiritual process and get benefited.
Other others present on the occasion were Chief Trustee N P Sharma, Trustee AK Koul, Trustee Tarsem Nagar and Ram Pal Sharma.
