| Bull evacuated from 30 feet deep pit | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 30 In a virtual repeat of the operations for rescuing little Prince and Vandana from a bore wells, people in village Yogpur near Vijaypur rescued a bull that had fell in a 30 feet deep pit. In a night long operation, the bull was ultimately rescued with the help of a JCB machine, which was pressed into service. Reports reaching here revealed that some villagers noticed a bull inside a pit in the outskirts of the village, last evening and informed other inhabitants of the area. People rushed to the spot and tried to save the life of the bull. They also informed the police who also sent a team for the rescue operation, sources told News Agency of Kashmir. The operation continued throughout the night and people had to burn midnight oil to rescue the trapped animal. A large number of people from the village as well as adjoining areas extended their help in the rescue operation. Receiving information, Minister of State for PHE and MLA Vijaypur Sardar Manjit Singh also reached the site and remained there till the bull was evacuated. It took more than than seven hours to get the bull out from pit. |
