| Prominent residents of ‘Peerkho’ hold meet with SS | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 30 A delegation of youth welfare organization of Peer Kho organized a meeting of prominent citizen’s of the area with Shiv Sena (SS) leaders to apprise them of the problems being faced by the residents of the area. Shiv Sena corporator and chairman health and sanitation committee, JMC attended the meeting along state president SS Rajesh Gupta and Secretary Rajender Gupta. According to press release residents of the area represented by Vijay Kumar, Satish Kumar, Raj Kumar, Ashwani, Vijay Gupta, Mahant Ravi Nath, Dharam Pal Sharma, Pawan Sharma Charanjit Bansal, Bhushan Gupta and others highlighted the problems due to the slow pace of development, absence of sanitation staff and illegal movement of tractor trolleys involved in extraction of sand and stone from the areas. Mahey while interacting with the residents highlighted the development works initiated in the area and assured the residents that special team of sanitation staff will make regular weekly visits to the area in future. Regarding illegal movement of tractor trolleys in the area, matter was immediately taken up with police authorities who in turn assured to put a ban illegal extraction of sand and stone from Tawi River and movement of tractor trolleys in Peer Kho lanes. Residents also objected the negligent attitude of the directorate of tourism who is responsible to maintain streetlights on main link road leading to historic Peer Kho temple. |
