| Clubs mourn JKCA member’s demise | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 30 A veteran cricketer and senior member of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA), Moulvi Masud Ahmed passed away at his native place in Srinagar. The demise of an active member of the JKCA was mourned in a condolence meeting which was attended by representatives of Kashmir Cricket Club, Whites Cricket Club, Srinagar Cricket Club and Rainawari Cricket Club at Jammu. Tributes were paid to the departed soul by the members recalling Masud’s selfless services for the promotion of cricket in Jammu and Kashmir. Members termed the death of Masud a great loss to the cricket. A two-minute silence was observed praying the Almightly to bestow peace on the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to beat the irreparable loss. Prominent among those who attended the condolence meeting were M L Nehru, C L Chrango, H K Rawal, Ashwinder Koul, C L Suri, Kanaya Lal Koul, Capt S K Tikoo and K B Kaw. |
