| Two arrested, stolen vehicles recovered | | | Early Times Reporter

Kathua police has claimed to have arrested two thieves and recovered two vehicles with spare parts worth Rs 55 thousand. Giving details police sources said that in order to curb the theft cases and arrested gang of thieves active in area. A special team led by SI Sanjeev Kumar under the supervision of ASP Kathua Benam Tosh and SSP Kathua J.P Singh was constituted team conducted many raids and traps and finally got success to burst the gang of thieves. Two thieves have been arrested. They have been identified as Naresh S/o Karnal and Barkat S/o Jhuma Bhatt both residents of Gatti, Basoli. Two vehicles along with spare parts of Rs Fifty five thousand recovered from their possession. The vehicles include a Matador bearing registration number JK02A/0343 and a Tata Sumo bearing registration number JK08A/2892. A case under section 379/380 RPC and 411 has been registered. During their interrogation they disclosed that they had seven members gang. Police is laying more traps to arrest five absconding thieves, sources said. |
