Congress veteran and Health Minister Mangat Ram Sharma was today hospitalized after he fell unconscious at a function.
Sharma was attending a function of a cricket team of medicos at Bakshi Nagar when he fell unconscious. He was immediately rushed to the nearby Government Medical Hospital for examination.
A team of doctors was immediately summoned which examined Sharma. He was later moved to the cardiac care unit of the hospital for monitoring. Though it was initially apprehended that Sharma might have had a cardiac congestion but the doctors ruled out any such thing. They said that he fell unconscious due to over-exertion.
The doctors attending on the Health Minister later stated his condition as stable. |
