Led by its chief Fareeda Behanji, dozens of party activists assembled at Abi Guzar in the city and started marching in a procession shouting slogans in support of their demand for knowing the whereabouts of those allegedly missing in the custody of state security forces. The separatist group is affiliated with hard line faction of Hurriyat Conference. When the procession reached near the Tourist Reception Centre en route to the local office of the United Nations Military Observers Group for India and Pakistan, police swung into action and asked them to disperse.
