| HGA criticizes govt.; threaten to move to Union Capital | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 31 Accusing the government for turning its deaf ear towards their long problems, All Jammu and Kashmir Home Guard Association (HGA) has warned to knock the door of Union Capital if their demands aren't fulfilled during next cabinet meet. Talking to media persons here on Monday, President HGA, Javed Ahmed has said that government did not pay any sort of heed towards genuine demands despite their continuous strike for 155 days. "Government is trying everything to avoid us but we have got every right to fight for our genuine demands and in case government fails to give us justice during next cabinet meeting we would be compelled to press our demands in Union capital," he added. Describing government's decision to wind-up the canopy of striking employees at Mubarak Mandi under the garb of Jammu Mela as undemocratic, he said that during last 155 days of their strike, the authorities have been practicing one game plan or the other to avoid our protest. |
