| Govt. determined to address public concerns: Haji Rasheed | | | Early Times Reporter Baramulla | Mar 31 Saying that present government was fully aware of the problems confronted by the people and determined to address these, besides to ensure basic amenities to all the people including those living in far flung areas, Chairman Handicrafts Development Corporation Haji Abdul Rashid said that the present government under the leadership of Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has done wonders. He said employment avenues for thousands of youth are being created. Addressing a mammoth public gathering at Malpora village in Sopore constituency today Chairman and MLA Sopore listed several welfare and people friendly measures taken by the present government which he said has catalyzed the speed of socio-economic development in the state and created an atmosphere of peace. He exhorted the officers to work with dedication, devotion and make themselves available to the people so that their cases are settled ad grievances redressed without any delay. He asked people to lend their full support to Chief Minister to help state touch new heights of development and Khushali. Haji Rashid expressed optimism about the restart of peace talks between India and Pakistan. Earlier, Haji Rashid inspected the construction works going in old sub district hospital Sopore which is being converted into a Maternity and Children care hospital at a cost of Rs. 40 lakh. He said that another Rs. 80 lakh are being provided for purchase of latest equipments for new sub district hospital Sopore which was recently inaugurated by Chief Minister. He also announced funds for development of a public park, besides announcing Rs. 5 lakhs for construction of inner roads at Malapora village. |
