| Jora visits far off areas of Ladakh | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Mar 31 The government is committed to provide all amenities to the people living in far off and remote areas of Ladakh said Minister for Industries and Commerce Nawang Rigzin Jora, while interacting public at Hemis-Shukpachan, Yangthang, Soomda, Saspochey, Likir, Ney and Bazgo. The Minister was on a day long tour of the area to access the pace of development works. Jora took stock of the Hemischhoo-Shukpachan road which is under construction at an estimated cost of Rs. 4 crore under NABARD assistance. At Nay and Bazgo, he held public Darbar and enquired about availability of ration, drinking water, medicine, functioning of ICDS centres etc. The Lamas of Likir Monastery and the villagers demanded up gradation of MAC to Dispensary. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Leh Sonam Gyalson, Project Director DRDA Ali Raza and a team of district officers accompanied the Minister. |
