SFC Manager among 4 charge sheeted
‘Loans sanctioned against non-existent units’

Establishing prima facie case of cheating, the State Crime Branch today presented charge sheet of the case before the court of law against four accused including manager of State Financial Corporation for judicial determination.
Acting on a complaint from unemployed youth through one Bashir Ahmed Malik alleging therein that officials of the SFC Srinagar in connivance with local traders have misused the government funds while releasing/ sanctioning a huge amount to fake and fictitious firms/ units, especially M/S Dhobi Enterprises, M/S Bharat Polytecne Zakoora and M/S Gulmarg Apple Juice Malbagh Srinagar, the Crime Branch registered a case and took up investigation.
A CB spokesman said that during the course of investigation records pertaining to the case were seized and persons acquainted with the facts of the case examined. It emerged during investigation that one Nazir Ahmed Lone son of Abdul Gaffar of Kadalbal Pampore, in capacity of Manager SFC processed a loan case to the tune of Rs.27.28 lakhs in favour of two brothers namely Mohammed Hussain and Zahoor Ahmed sons of Ghulam Rasool Chat of Behrar Nigeen at present Sanat Nagar Srinagar for setting up a juice plant at Malabagh under the name and style of Gulmarg Apple Juice.
The spokesman further said that an amount of Rs.8. 44 lakhs was released for purchase of machinery through accused Sajjad Ahmed Bhat son of Mohammed Sualtan of Batamaloo at present Bypass but no such machinery was purchased. The criminal conspiracy hatched by above named four persons subjected the state financial corporation to wrongful loss.
On the basis of investigation conducted by the Crime Branch prima facie case of cheating was made out against the accused and were accordingly charge sheeted today, the spokesman added.
