Royal Club in boys section and team from Reasi in girls section lifted the overall championships in the State Open Fencing Championship which concluded today at Indoor Complex of MA Stadium, here.
While Royal Club secured highest 102 points to top the points tally, Reasi girls bagged 20 points to emerge the champions in team events.
In the under-17 year category foil individual event, Rohit Salgotra of Jammu bagged the gold while Valentine of Royal Club remained second. Third place was shared by Gursharan of Friends Club and Dushyant of Royal Club.
Member Parliament, Madan Lal Sharma was chief guest in the individual finals and prize distribution function. A host of other guests were also present in the valedictory function.

Under-17 boys Foil event: Samba (Nardish, Ashwani, Akash and Akash), Ist; Billawar (Mohit Sharma, Vishal Sharma, Vishal Kumar and Rakesh Sharma), 2nd; Royal Club (Vishal Thappar, Valentine, Dushyant and Arjun) and Udhampur (Deepak, Bharat and Abhinav), joint third.
Under-17 boys Sabre event: Royal Club (Javed Ahmed, Vishal Thappar and Vilas), Ist; Udhampur (Deepak, Bharat and Abhinav), 2nd; Billawar (Vishal Kumar, Mohit, Vishal Sharma and Rakesh Kumar) and Ramban (Pushab Singh, Raj Singh Raju and Kabal Singh), joint third.
