To take stock of difficulties being faced by the people inhabiting in Jozran Talab, Dandyal, Loundna, Indira Colony and Doda Migrant Mohallah and burning problem of drinking water supply in particular, the MLA Udhampur, Mr. Balwant Singh Mankotia accompanied by the Executive Engineer, PHE Udhampur and other officers conducted tour of these areas today.
While inspecting the progress of work over the construction of 50,000 gallons capacity water reservoir near Jozran Talab, the Executive Engineer, PHE apprised the MLA that reservoir was on finishing stage and was likely to be completed within a month’s time. With the completion of this reservoir and laying of pipes in these habitations, about 4000 souls living these localities would get safe drinking water supply before the close of current financial year.
Responding to the other demand of up-gradation of roads from Chief Education Officer’s office to Dandyal and Jozran Talab to Loundna, the MLA disclosed that these roads would shortly be metalled and black-topped to ensure smooth flow of traffic which would help in minimizing the sufferings of people especially in hours of exigencies. |
