| IMPA conducts orientation programme for NGOs | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 1 Five Days orientation programme for Representatives of Voluntary Organizations was concluded here today by the Indian Institute of Management and Public Administration. Programme was sponsored by Central Social Welfare Board through State Social Welfare Board. 31 representatives of voluntary organizations attended the programme. The programme highlighted the need of developing a healthy partnership with voluntary organization for the welfare, development and empowerment of women and children in our society. The programme was designed to familiarize the participants about welfare schemes, implementation and management thereof. Resource persons enlightened the participants about the role of NGOs in mobilizing the society to develop it a welfare state. Valedictory was presided over by Director General, IMPA, Mr. Pramod Jain. Mr Jain emphasized that the NGOs should mobilize society in such a way that development takes place and emancipation of women and children is ensured. He advised to adopt people centric approach and at the same time have value system. Voluntary Organizations can greatly enlarge the scope of national plan by developing their own activities and dealing with the social/economic local problems. The certificates were also distributed among the participants. |
