Parents `not allowed’ to enter playing arena

The parents accompanying their wards at the MA Stadium have been advised not to enter the playing arena, particularly the Indoor Complex so as to avoid the `unwanted interference’ and disturbance during training hours.
The parents and friends joining the trainees at the Indoor Complex have been requested to cooperate in maintaining the discipline. “To start with Indoor Complex, we have pasted a notice outside the playing arenas suggesting the parents to keep themselves away from the coaching centers, particularly during training hours,” Manager of Indoor Complex, MA Stadium, Ravi Singh told Sports & Allied News.
Justifying his action, Singh said, “during the last some time we have experienced that parents accompanying the wards interfere in the routine functioning of coaches thus disturbing other trainees and training. If an advice through notices will not work, we will be directing the staff to stop parents from stepping in at the entry point of the Indoor Complex because our advice is something in the interest of trainees.”
In addition, the Manager Indoor Complex has asked the trainees to renew their membership cards by April 15 for the next financial year by paying the fee as per the laid down norms of the State Sports Council. “We have given a 15-day time to the old members to renew their membership by depositing the required fee with the office against receipt,” said the Manager adding that fresher can also obtain membership by following the laid down procedure.
“The new comers can have a look at the notice board of the Indoor Complex to go through the fee structure for different indoor games in various age groups,” informed the Manager.
Meanwhile, the new comers have started pouring in the Stadium, especially for the games of Table Tennis, Badminton, Gymnastics and Skating.
