Goa freedom fighters association J&K branch express gratitude to Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in accepting the demands of freedom fighters, pending since leaders before the authorities.
As per pres release members of the association who took part in liberation of Goa, till date is not paid any pension etc. The main demand is to grant pension in their favour. Members along with Ram Dashrath Tupe called on CM who gave patient hearing to their genuine cause.
Association also thanks Parliament members Dr. Karan Singh and Madan Lal Sharma and especially Janak Raj Gupta former Member of Parliament who took pains for getting the participants of Goa freedom movement recognized as freedom fighters and granting of pension to them. |
