Rajiv Chuni of SOS international has criticized the alleged role of minister for cooperative AA Zargar in shielding the directors of Citizen Co-op Bank found involved in corruption.
As per a press release, Chuni has said, the probe committee in its report has pointed out serious cases of fraud, negligence and financial mismanagement by these directors of the bank, and has recommended in terminating their basic membership from bank. He said, even committee has recommended that the case be referred to State Vigilance Organization (SVO).
He added that directors have now evolved a special mode of looting the bank. They have returned the government’s share capital in the bank. The said bank has come into existence under cooperative act made by the legislature and when the government is kept off and the bank is turned as private finance company, in that situation what shall happen to the hundreds of employees of the bank?, he questioned. |
