Jammu weather pleases Diana Hayden

Do you know, what about this city of temples has charmed the former Miss World Diana Hayden – Yes, it is the weather here that has fascinated not only Diana but has equally surprised the localites. The little chill during this part of the year (April) here is unusual but became a matter of fascination for Indian-born former Miss World.
On her first visit here, she today told reporters, “Jammu’s weather has fascinated me and I am charmed by little chilly weather here.”
Diana, the 1997 Miss World born in 1973 in Hyderabad was here in connection with inauguration of an aviation training institute.
Diana described herself as a very steady person, doing what she loves most in the world. She has a passion for music and dance. But, her first love is reading. She likes horse riding and playing chess.
Diana informed the media persons here that she actively supports an orphanage in Hyderabad with the name ‘Child And Police’ (CAP), a rehabilitation project under Dr. Reddy’s Foundation, which deals with the police picking orphans from the streets and educating them.
Diana, who still continues with her international modeling assignments, said she began her Bollywood innings with 'Tehzeeb'. But she had her first full-fledged role in another Hindi movie 'Ab Bas!' - an out and out women-oriented film.
She also appeared in Hollywood films 'All Alone'(2006) and 'Othello-A South African Tale' (2006).
Diana told the reporters that she is no more interested in continuing doing movies and was planning to host a TV show.
The former Miss World who inaugurated Aptech-managed Avalon Aviation Academy centre in Jammu has been signed by the academy as its brand ambassador. She is also a celebrity guest lecturer for training airlines personnel in various aspects, including poise and grace in the academy.
During her brief interaction with media persons, Hayden said “I am awestruck by little chilly weather in Jammu. It is my first visit here and it is fascinating to have cold weather as apart from Delhi or outside where it is very hot these days”.
Presently campaign against Breast Cancer, AIDS and Female feticide in different parts of the world, Diana says if she gets an opportunity to come to J&K again, she will not love to miss the opportunity.
“Many people talk about militancy and unrest in Jammu and Kashmir, but I have come here for the first time and had no fear of militancy in mind. The warm welcome and reception I have got from the people of Jammu is exceptional”, Daina Hayden replied to a question on militancy.
In her message to Jammuites, Hayden said “Life is very short - keep it very simple”.
