| JKSUF seeks stern action against ASP | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 4 The Jammu and Kashmir Sikh Unity Forum (JKSUF) has urged upon the Chief Minister to initiate disciplinary action against additional superintendent of police, Shakti Pathak for officer’s alleged misbehaviour with one Gurcharan Singh, serving as ASI in police deptt. Addressing a press conference here today General Secretary, JKSUF, Gurmeet Singh said that it is very unfortunate that a senior police officer has manhandled the junior officer for his no fault. Giving the details of the land grabbing case, which was restored to Sukha Singh father of ASI, Gurcharan Singh by the High Court after wining the case after a period of over twenty years and in this regard custodian deptt along with police restored the land measuring one Kanal and Seven Marla after evicting the encroaches. He further added that after the court order, Shakti Pathak seemed disturbed and under the influences of the encroachers called ASI in office and not only used abusive language but also manhandled the ASI and even threw away his turban. Gurmeet said that JKSUF appeals the chief minister to order stern action against Pathak or suspend the officer from the duty. When Early Times contacted Pathak, she refuted the allegations of throwing the turban and said that by Sukha Singh was trying to take advantage of Granth Sahib Jagriti Yatra. Pathak said Sukha Singh had fired upon Thoru Ram, the other party and his son who is ASI was abetting him to take detrimental action. |
