| Appointment against fake certificate surfaces in Quazigund | | 16 candidates managed appointment in SW Deptt Anantnag. | | Anantnag, Aug 28: All the tall claims of transparency made by the coalition government in appointments of Anganwari workers and helpers, proved to be false, when a case of fake appointment surfaced in the social welfare department, Quazigund area of Anantnag district in south Kashmir. Sources in the department said that more than sixteen candidates have managed their appointments as Anganwari Workers fraudulently, after submitting fake Matric diplomas. According to sources, Matric certificate bearing Roll No 124237 session 1991, submitted by one of the candidate namely Shagufta Yaseen D/O Ab.Salam Khandey R/O Choimulla Quazigund was proved fake and the same was reported to higher authorities. Sources added. As per this fake certificate, the date of birth of the candidate is shown as 18-10-1975 and when the same was verified from the official Gazette of State Board of School education Kashmir, session 1991, it was found that the name of candidate was written as Shamshada Parveen D/O Ghulam Hassan, whose date of birth is 02-04-1974. As per the date of birth certificate of Shagufta Yaseen issued by primary school Choimulla her date of birth is 01-01-1987. One of the employees, from CDPO office Quazigund informed that some fake certificates were reported and some have been sent for verification. If sources are to be believed, there are more then sixteen such appointments made by the department of which some are facing the inquiry by crime branch Srinagar. It is not for the first time such more cases were reported from other areas of the district some time back and the same were cancelled. Even the local residents of the area have informed the concerned office and they (Officers concerned) term it as a politically motivated and explain their position through some News papers. It was reliably learnt that, one of the employee of CDPO Quazigund has taken rupees 30,000 from each such candidate for appointing them on fake certificates. The appointees, sources said, have allegedly grazed the palms of the officers at the helm of affairs. It is not ruled out that the certificates which are fake might have been arranged by some of the employees of the department, sources added. The trend of fake certificates is not a new thing in the district, as earlier so many such cases have been traced by Crime branch Kashmir. Need of the hour is to look into the matter, and order an inquiry in the appointments made on the basis of fraudulent certificates |
