| Jora calls for people participation in dev process | | | Early Times Reporter

The government is committed to uplift the people of Changthang which lagged behind in fields like education, agriculture and Medicare as compared other to blocks of the district.
This was stated by the Minister for Industries & Commerce Mr. Nawang Rigzin Jora while addressing the people at Nyoma the other day. The village heads and villagers of Nyoma, JMud and Niddar assembled at Nyoma put forth their problems and demands before the Minister which included grant of tehsil status creation of, one more block in Changthang, opening of Kailash Mansarovar Road for pilgrims, execution of Puga Geo Thermal Plant, filling up the vacant posts in Higher Secondary School, replacement of old & unreliable electric poles and completion of sub-district hospital at Nyoma.
Jora gave patient hearing to their demands and assurd to fulfill their demands in a phased manner. He also gave instructions to the concerned officers to immediately attend the problems related to their department.
While touching the developmental works, Mr. Jora urged upon the people to take active part in the formulation of rural places and said that their participation is very important in the rural development process.
The ADC Mr. Ghalson, Project Director DRDA Mr. Ali Raza and other senior district officers of various departments accompanied the Minister.
On reaching Nyoma, accorded a traditional reception to the Minister and other visiting officers. |
