| Gharu Ram receives ‘Guru Manyo Granth Jagriti’ Yatra at R. S. Pura | | | Early Times Reporter

Minister of State for R&B Choudhary Gharu Ram today received Guru Manyo Granth Jagriti yatra at R. S. Pura town here this evening. The yatra has started from Nanded in Maharashtra yesterday in connection with the celebration of 300 years of the Guru Granth Sahib.
The yatra passed through the various areas including R.S Pura, Chak Mohammad Yar, Dablehar, Kolian, Mamka and Khir Pind. A massive gathering that had descended here to give a rousing reception to the yatra where Block President Congress Suchet Garh S. Sobha Singh, Ex Sarpanch Choudhary Prem Chand, President Mehila Wing Smt Vijay Chib, Senior Congress Leaders S. Suchet Singh and S. Jaswant Singh and other senior officers from various departments were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Choudhary Gharu Ram said that Guru Granth Sahib like other religious scriptures taught brotherhood, amity and called upon the people to strengthen these values. He said that J&K was an abode of communal harmony. He said that he was confident that the yatra would promote communal harmony and brotherhood among the people of country. |
