Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 6 President National Mazdoor Conference Subash Shastri has appealed the Chief Minister to release the pending installment of dearness allowance due from January this year to the state pensions and employees before Baisakhi festival. Addressing a meeting of the NMC activists here today, Shastri said that since the state government has already earmarked Rs.200 crore in the current year’s budget for the purpose, there is no reason to withhold it, especially in the wake of price index which has touched the all time high record. The meeting also adopted several resolutions seeking redressal of long pending demands of the working class including regularization of all daily wagers working in different departments, release of pending salary to motivators of IWDP Project Akhnoor, timely payment of wages, filling up of all vacant posts and enhancement of wages to daily rated workers. The meeting among others was addressed by Rajan Babu Khajuria, Sunil Kochhar, Sham Lal Sharma, Madan Lal, A.Malik, Purshotam Kumar, Asha Singh, Kasturi Lal, Harbans Lal, Ram Lal, Bodh Raj, Sham Singh and Geeta Devi. |
