| Kamalkote to be a model village | | Rs. 3.50 cr Poultry project would come up in Uri soon: Taj Mohi-ud-Din | | SRINAGAR, AUGUST 28 – A poultry project at a cost of Rs.3.50 crores would be set up in Uri to give fillip to poultry bird rearing activity in the area, and open new vistas for employment generation. Stating this at a public gathering at Kamalkote village of Uri Tehsil, the Minister for Animal Husbandry and Information Technology, Mr. Taj Mohi-ud-Din after inaugurating a bridge completed at a cost of Rs.47 lacs said that Kamalkote village is being established as a model village at Rs. 1.20 crores. Various basic amenities which include lanes, drains, community facility centre, Community Park, shopping complex, community toils/bathrooms would be developed in the village under the programme. Appreciating the speedy completion of some works in the hilly areas of the Tehsil the Minister stressed the need for speeding up the implementation of welfare schemes so that the benefit of these schemes reaches down to the people. He asked the officers to use their collective wisdom and come up with a mechanism to streamline the present system of functioning. Announcing the release of Rs.10 lacs out of his CDF for the construction of road link at Parampilan, the Minister said that the day is not far when the whole areas of uri would get connected by network of roads which is paramount for the well being of the people. Mr. Taj said the government is seized of the problems of people and would leave no stone unturned in finding proper solution to all demands. During the 2-days tour the Minister visited different areas of Uri and addressed public gatherings. |
