| Sharad Yadav says coalition has failed to deliver | | | Early Times Reporter Baramulla | Apr 6 President National Janta Dal United Sharad Yadav on Sunday said that despite several promises made to people, coalition government in Jammu and Kashmir has failed to address unemployment problem which has been the core issue confronting people of this strife ridden state. Yadav, who was addressing a public rally at Barmaulla, said that much was being expected from the coalition government but it has failed to deliver on the ground. Terming the present ban on government jobs as sheer injustice with the people of state, Yadav said, "When educated youth of Kashmir were not provided with job opportunities they turned to gun to get their issues solved". He said that militancy is all about unemployment. He further said that JDU had previously placed its candidates in Kashmir and were provided with highest portfolios in the government. "We are fielding our candidates in the elections so that people of Kashmir get genuine representatives who will project and address their demands at center".. While appealing the `mis-guided youth' of Jammu and Kashmir to return to mainstream he said, "I appeal those youth to shun the path of violence as bullet is not the solution but the every issue can be solved with negotiation". Coming down on the coalition government, he said that Ghulam Nabi Azad led coalition government is working on the directions of New Delhi and is exploiting innocent people of Kashmir valley," "You have the power to teach them a lesson for their misdeeds", he said urging the people to use their franchise in the next election with caution and care. |
