1/4/2019 9:55:34 PM
Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 4: A monthly meeting of All J&K Plus-2 Lecturers' Forum was held under the chairmanship of its President Deepak Sharma in which various demands and issues pertaining to Plus-2 Cadre were discussed threadbare.
Deepak Sharma alleged discrimination with Plus 2 Cadre at the hands of various governments as they have been demanding Benefits of Running Grade/ Time Bound Promotion since long and now ACP (Assured Career Progression Scheme ) but they have got only false promises in return and hoped that ACP would soon be sanctioned in favour of Plus-2 cadre to remove age long stagnation with the intervention of Governor's administration as promised by Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, worthy Advisor to Governor J& K state.
Forum also demanded Expediting of process of Regularization of All Incharge Officers of Education Department many of whom have already retired. Speakers also flayed government for inordinate delay in release of Promotion lists of Joint Directors, CEOs and equivalents, Principals and equivalents and Senior Lecturers as per 1/3rd cadre strength of Lecturers and demanded filling up of all the vacancies at the earliest to stop running the Education Deptt on Adhochism and for its smooth functioning and in order to achieve over-all Academic Excellence.
Members present also demanded Revocation of SRO-202 for all Cadres including Plus-2 Lecturers and instead framing up of a policy of tenure of one year only in Hard areas on the analogy of Ladakh region as govt has failed to implement policy of stay of newly appointed employees for RBA/ALC region for 7 years and SRO-202 for 5 years and still far flung areas are suffering for want of staff.
Forum also demanded Ether fixation of induction quota in favour of Plus-2 Lecturers or repatriation of Joint Directors from KAS Cadre working in Education Department to their Parent Departments. Other demands included Non-vacational status to Principals/Head of the Institutions, Restoration of 40% in-service College Quota, Removal of Pay anamolies and Regularization of Physical Education Lecturers and Repatriation of those who have completed their tenure in Ladakh Region. Prominent among others present in the meeting included N.S. Jamwal, Anil Sharma, R.S. Slathia, Charan Dass, Dr. Anees, Sanjay Bhagat and Pardeep Singh.
