| 2 drug peddlers held with 6 grams of heroin | | |
Jammu, Jan 4: Miran Sahib Police today claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered 6 gram heroin from their possession.
Police spokesman said that today police party of Miran Sahib police station established a Naka at Prithipur for checking and frisking of vehicles and pedestrian.
"During checking and frisking one motorcycle number JKO2AU-6847 coming from Kotli Mian Fateh towards Kunjwani was stopped", said spokesman adding that during questioning they disclosed their names as Sumit Kumar of Mehmoodpur and Baba Ram of Nougran.
He further said that on their personnel search, 3 grams and 3 grams each Heroin (chitta) like substance was recovered from their possession.
In this connection a case under FIR No. 04/2019 under section 8/21/22 of NDPS Act has been registered at Miran Sahib police station and investigation started.
The accused persons/ drugs peddlers were formally arrested and consignment of heroin has been seized accordingly. |
