| Vehicle loaded with PHE pipes seized | | |

MENDHAR, Jan 4: The police today seized a Tata mobile vehicle loaded with PHE pipes and detained three persons including the driver in this connection.
A police spokesman said that acting on specific information, a police party from Mendhar Police Station intercepted vehicle No. JK-02BD 5937 and seized it today near TCP Mendhar. A total of 85 PHE pipes of two different sizes (one inch and one and a half inch) were loaded on the vehicle. The driver and his associate failed to produce any document/ indent regarding transportation of these goods from PHE store to the specific location. The driver told that the pipes were being taken to Pathanteer village but he failed to produce any papers.
The police have detained three persons and started investigation. The police called concerned PHE staff for verification of the goods seized. Further investigation was in progress. Later, SDM Mendhar Mohd Afzal Mirza directed the SHO Mendhar to lodged an FIR and investigate the matter thoroughly. |
