National Dance Sports Championship 2019 held at Abhinav Theatre

Jammu, Jan 4: In first of its kind, National dance sports championship 2019 was held today at Abhinav Theatre Jammu, organized by Harman cultural and educational society. About 250 children and youngsters from all-over India participated in the event.
Balwinder Singh, President, Dance sports council of India was the Chief Guest of the championship.
Rajni Kant Thakur, Technical Advisor, Dance sports council of India was the guest of honour. A number of greatest personalities of Jammu and Kashmir were also present in the event. Celebrated Tollywood Choreographer Prakash Suha was the special guest of the event.
During the daylong event, a total of 20 contestants from all parts of the country showcased their talent which was grouped in the categories of Under-6, Under-8, Under-10 and Under-13.
The show was judged by Ikjot Singh, Satish Chander (International festival Indo- Tibetan Winner), Abhishek Dubey (National Gold Medalists for 2016 & 2017), Akash Sky(Renowned Pollywood Choreographer), Sonu Rana (National Gold Medalist) and Sapna Yadav(All India Gold Medalist and National Bronze medal winner for 2016 & 2017)
The opening act was performed by International performers J R.Sharma (Jackson) and Poonam of M Jackson Dance Academy Jammu depicting the true love story Dogra legend Kunju and Himachali beauty Chanchalo.
Balwinder Singh Johal said that the aim of the competition is to nurture the hidden talent of the budding dancers and provide them opportunity and stage to represent their state and subsequently their country at the International level.
