| JURSEA demands ‘proper hostel’ facility to scholars | | | Early Times Reporter Jammu| Apr 7 Raising certain issues for improving the standards of hostels, chairperson of the Jammu University Research Scholar Executive Association (JURSEA), Anuradha Goswami demanded proper hostel facility to all the deserving students and scholars who have come from the far flung areas. She claimed that there are many scholars who are in the waiting list and despite their dedication to their studies they are not getting the accommodation which they need urgently to pursue their studies. Addressing media persons, Goswami stressed on the point that whenever the decision making body of Jammu University Hostel which include provost, warden etc, should go for any decision regarding hostels they must involve representatives of students and scholars. Vikas Sharma, president of JURSEA showed its concern for the establishment of guidance bureau, finalize the syllabus for the particular session of MA, M.Phil, Ph.D and said that there is a dire necessity to create a guidance bureau for the betterment of their studies. JURSEA leaders warned the authority to take immediate steps for the fulfillment of demands otherwise JURSEA will be forced to launch an agitation. Other members who were also present included Priyanka, Arusha, and Sujata. |
