Department of History will be contesting against Department of Botany for the title clash in Table Tennis tomorrow in the ongoing Inter-Department Sports Meet of University of Jammu, organized by Department of Physical Education, here today.
Earlier, in the semi-finals played today, History Department outplayed Department of Law 2-0, while Department of Botany trounced Commerce Department 2-0. Earlier, in the quarterfinals, History Department beat Business School 2-0. The results: Semifinals: History bt Law: Omar Sharif bt Lakash Agastam 11-9, 8-11, 11-7; Mudassir Shafi bt Nisar Akhtar 11-6, 7-11, 11-6. Quarterfinal: History bt Business School: Muddassir Shafi bt Deep Kumar 11-7, 6-11, 11-8; Omar Sharif bt Ketan Gupta 8-11, 11-9, 11-5.
CHESS: The Law School and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) have made it into the final of Carrom. In the semi-finals played today, MCA beat Botany Department 2-0. Results: Gulshan Singh bt Sandeep Kotwal and Manish bt Arvind Kotwal. In the second semi-final, Law School beat Department of Law 2-0. Results: Karan Khosa bt Joni Kumar and Gurpal Singh bt Varun Mahajan. Quarterfinals: Botany bt Business School 2-0: Sandeep Kotwal bt Bhanu Partap Singh and Arvind Kotwal drew against Deep Kumar. MCA bt Chemistry 2-0: Gulshan Singh bt Rajvir Singh and Manish Sharma bt P Mabu Bhasha.
