| Warm send off accorded to Guru Maniyo Granth Sahib | | Charak for strengthening communal harmony | | Early Times Reporter Jammu | Apr 8 Minister for Higher Education and ARI Trainings Mr. Gulchain Singh Charak accompanied by Deputy Chairman Legislative Council, S. Ravinder Singh Micky, SSP, Kathua Mr. J. P. Singh and other senior officers accorded warm send off to Guru Maniyo Granth Sahib at Kathua Gurdwara today. Earlier, Mr. Charak along with thousands of devotees paid obeisance to the ancient script of Granth sahib written by Shaheed Deep Singh Ji. Mr. Charak appealed the people to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and amity. He said that the spirit of patriotism and tolerance needs to be inculcated among younger generations through moral education. Mr. Charak said that the yatra which reached Lakhanpur on 4th April was taken to R. S. Pura, Jammu city, Kathua and other major towns of the regions and today on fifth day, yatra is being accorded warm send off amidst chanting of slogans. Several Sikh leaders addressed the function. Later, Mr. Charak inaugurated SinGem Jewellery Education Centre at Ganhdinagar. Addressing the function, Mr. Charak appreciated the step taken by its management to open first of its kind Jewellery Education Centre, as it would provide latest and hi-tech training facilities to enthusiastic youth to make Jewellery, suiting the taste of Jammuties. |
