| Babu announce Rs.3 cr. development Schemes for Rafiabad | | | Srinagar, August 28 – Rs. 3 crore Schemes for development of the areas between Ribbon to Mirazigund in Rafiabad assembly constituency of Baramulla district has been formulated and being implemented shortly. Under this programme the areas would be provided facilities of road connectivity, sanitation, construction of lanes and drainage etc. This was stated by the Minister of State for Rural Development Mr. Babu Singh while addressing a largely attended public meeting at Mirazigund in Baramulla district today. Mr. Singh said that the poor families of Mirazigund and adjoining areas would be brought under the sanitation campaign scheme, launched in the state. For early completion of d3evelopmental works, the Minister said that the government id determined to adopt the work culture under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad. Under this programme much has been a achieved by introducing double shift system. Mr. Babu Singh said that the state has rich potential under various sectors including tourism, horticulture, water resources and agriculture and efforts are on to boost these sectors so that state could be brought out of the turmoil’s for this be sought the cooperation of the people. Elaborating the measures being initiated to streamline the rural Development Department the Minister said that the functioning of the working of the departmental functionaries is constantly under monitor and said that any official/officer found indulge in any sort of malpractices would be dealt with severely but the honest and dedicated would be awarded suitably. The response to the demands putforth by the people, the Minister said that buildings for panchayatghars would be constructed. He said that matter regarding construction of building of first aid centre and opening ration depots will be taken up with the concerned ministries. Speaking on the occasion, MLC Mr. Abdul Gani Vakil said that in a short span of time the state has achieved beyond the expectation of the people under the leadership of the Chief Minister, Mr Ghulam Nabi Azad and added that all promises made3 during the election would be fulfilled. He said that with the efforts of Mr. Azad liberal funds have been provided by the Union Government and development activities undertaken are fast progressing in every nook and corner of the state. |
